Investigations

Homicides, Missing Persons, Cold Cases, Kidnappings

Based upon their collective half century of investigative experience (Athena as an FBI Agent and Deborah as a private consultant/psychic investigator), Athena and Deborah are cognizant of the fact that information obtained in a non-traditional investigative manner can be utilized in the criminal justice system only after independent verification of the information through statute-driven procedures. Therefore, the use of psychic impressions as an aid to law enforcement should be considered in addition to or upon exhaustion of traditional investigative techniques.

All missing persons cases should be reported to law enforcement immediately, regardless of the age of the missing individual.

Vesuvius Investigative Consultants does not have law enforcement authority and cannot conduct independent investigation beyond the scope of a consultation.

Responsibility and credit for the successful outcome of criminal investigations reside with the criminal justice system.

Procedures for Law Enforcement Officials:

Athena is the point of contact for inquiries as Deborah proceeds in a certain way and prefers to know few details about a case until she actually begins working on it.

Preliminary Investigation:

In some instances, relevant information can be ascertained from a preliminary investigation involving items and photographs sent by the client. These items might include:

- The name of the victim or missing person.

- Photographs of the victim or missing person.

- Photographs of the last known location (interior of house, shopping center, etc.)

of the victim or missing person.

- Several items, not valuable, that the victim or missing person touched on a regular basis, such as a comb or hair brush, coffee mug, keys, favorite piece of clothing, cellular telephone, or tooth brush.

Information is provided to the client telephonically. This is an iterative process and follow-up questions to clarify information are welcome. The conversation is recorded and a digital copy is provided to the client.

Fees: The fee for a preliminary investigation conducted telephonically is $1,000. The session typically lasts from one to two hours and follow-up questions within several days are expected.

Full Investigation:

A full investigation is conducted on-site at the law enforcement agency investigating the case.

Travel to relevant locations is beneficial but not always necessary and can be decided upon as an investigation progresses.

In addition to the full name of the victim or missing person, the law enforcement official conducting the interview should have the following items available:

- Photographs of the victim or missing person.

- *Photographs of the last known location (interior of house, shopping center, etc.) of the victim or missing person. *Travel to the actual site is preferred.

Corporate Security

Please contact Vesuvius Investigative Consultants via e-mail at investigations@vesuvius-investigations.com regarding corporate security issues. Because such investigations can vary greatly in nature and scope, each inquiry is dealt with on an individual basis and the investigation is tailored to the client’s needs.

Investigations Concerning Paranormal Phenomena

Please be advised that Deborah and Athena are not “Ghost Hunters.” The only technical equipment utilized in their investigations of suspected paranormal events/activity is a digital audio recorder to preserve Deborah’s impressions.

Once an inquiry is received, the client is contacted by Athena to obtain additional information. Athena conducts a traditional investigation into the reported phenomena to include historical research. If this initial investigation determines that the location in question displays possible paranormal activity, Athena returns with Deborah, who then “tunes in” to whatever is present.

Deborah is told nothing about the location or purported paranormal events/activities. She goes in “cold” and moves from room to room, articulating her impressions. Attendees are permitted and encouraged to ask Deborah questions which might lead her to focus on a particular person or incident associated with the building, but they are not allowed to “coach” her in any way. Deborah’s descriptions are very detailed, and she often provides a back story. When Deborah has gone through the entire building and she is satisfied she has gotten everything she can from the session, a debriefing is held with the attendees.

The client is provided with a digital copy of the audio recording made at the site.

Personal Consultations

Deborah accepts requests for personal consultations to address specific issues which might assist in providing direction and/or resolution.

The consultation typically lasts from 45 minutes to an hour and is conducted telephonically. The client is more than welcome to take notes, however, the session is recorded and a digital copy is provided to the client.

The client should be prepared to ask specific questions. These questions may pertain to relationships, residency, job prospects and the like but should not be general in nature.

Prior to the consultation, the client will need to send photographs of individuals the client is interested in discussing, or something that the individual has touched, such as a comb, keys, toothbrush or article of clothing. These items should not be of value, and the photographs can have other people in them as well. These items are returned to the client at the conclusion of the consultation.

Please note that Deborah never claims to be 100% accurate, but does promise her best possible interpretation of perceptions received at the time of consultation. What Deborah perceives are past events, present situations and future possibilities which can change at any time based upon individual choice. Everyone’s future remains theirs to decide.

Fees: The fee for a personal consultation is $250.
